How to Raid with Dogma

After gathering enough feedback, we feel many of our guildies would like more informations on how we handle our scheduled raids - so we decided to write an article to include more details about guild raids, and how to join them.

In this article you'll find:

1. How join a guild raid
2. How to join a Raiding Group
3. What Dogma expects from each Raider
4. Extended DKP rules

1. How to join our raids

Dogma is using the Blizzard ingame calendar to handle subscriptions to its raids. If you'd like to join a raid, please do the following:

1- Check the ingame calendar, to see if you're already been invited. If you didn't receive the invite, please ask the Raid Leader if you can get one.

2 - Accept the invite on the ingame calendar.

3 - Check the ingame calendar to see if you've been confirmed. Confirmations will be made around 12 hours earlier than the raid start.

4 - Be online and ready to be invited 10 minutes before the raid. If you fail showing up, you might be replaced, and you could not be confirmed the next raid.

Please note that until you're not "confirmed", there is no guarantee you can partecipate the raid. Usually confirmation will be done by the raid leader 12 hours before the raid, often earlier - so check the calendar ingame to see if you've been confirmed to the raid.

2. How to join a Raiding Group

Even if you could join a raid simply signing on the ingame calendar, you might want to apply for a Raiding Group also, expecially if you want to raid often (2-3 times a week or more). Moreover, being part of a Raiding Group will increase drastically your chances to get into guild raids.

What are Raiding Groups in Dogma? Well, think to a raiding group as a team, each with its unique roster. All members of the same Raiding Group work together to better each other gear, and progress in 10 or 25 men contents.

You can apply to any raiding group in Dogma, but please consider that raids may overlaps, so it's a good idea to have your char only on two rosters (one for the 10, and one for the 25 men contents).

If you have one or more alts in the guild, you can subscribe those to another Raiding Group if you really want, but it might be a good idea to have all your alts in the same roster and warn your Raid Leader about them - this way you can provide the best support to your team, and give a valuable help the Raid Leader when he have to choose his weekly formation.

Members of the Roster of a Raiding Group get priority when it comes to choose players who have signed on the Raid Calendar. This way, if you're accepted in a Raiding Group, you can be sure your Raid Leader will pick you most of the time to his raids.

You can find a list of all Raiding Group here. Inside each board you can find the Raiding Group Roster and the minimum stats required to be part of the Raiding Group you selected.

To apply to a raiding group, please register on our community, and leave a message in the appropriate Raiding Group board.

If you need more information about Raiding Group, please feel free to ask any officer in game.

If you can't really found any spot in any Raiding group despite your efforts, please let us know.

3. What Dogma expects from each Raider

Please keep in mind that Dogma isn't only a raiding guild, but a community of players. We don't expect every guildie like to raid, or commit himself/herself to become dedicate pve player. You can hang around in the guild just chatting, pvping, questing or simply doing whatever you want, and none will never complains as long you observe the guild rules.

However, if you choose to sign up a guild raid, we expect a bit of commitment to the raid success. So if you want to raid with us, please be sure to do the following:

1. Come to the raid with enough potions/flask/elixir required by the instance.

2. Gain knowledge of the bosses fight mechanics (www.bosskillers.com)

3. Come with a proper pve spec (required for all t5+ contents).

Please remember that being a casual player doesn't mean you can get into a guild raid unprepared - if you need more time to check guides, buy/craft potion/elixir/flask please just sign for the following week raids; remember there is no pressure on you - no hurry. Just take your time and enjoy ,-)

Another last thing: we'll gladly help guildies in bettering their gear, but this doesn't mean we'll just work for who wanna switch his/her greenies with epics at the expense of other raiders.

In short, we're not going to bring undergeared people to raid just becouse they are in the guild. If you are the first who don't want to put effort in bettering your own gear, please don't expect guildies will do that for you, 'cos this simply wont happen.

4. Extended DKP rules

DKPs (or Dragon Kill Poins) are just a measure to know how much active is a player concerning guild raids. For every guild raid you attend, you'll receive a certain amount of DKP.

DKP can be used to "bid" your most wanted items when you are running with a 25-men Raiding Group. You can find all the extended DKP rules here

We hope this document will help newcomers to have a better understanding on how join guild raids and be part of our rading groups.

If you have any doubt or concern, please don't be afraid to ask.

Welcome to the Dogma.
